BSOD and RSOD

Microsoft has historically ‘utilized’ the “BSOD”, better known as the “Blue Screen of Death.” Now, in their upcoming version of Windows, (codename Longhorn), there is the “RSOD”, which is a red screen of death. I lifted this image from http://joi.ito.com/RedScreen.jpg and mirrored it locally:

In other news, this site was again upgraded, running Fedora Core 4 Test 3 and updated development and test packages, and WordPress was updated to 1.5.1. Just for you ‘inquiring minds’ because I know that you wanted to know.
In other, other news, Today is Friday the 13th. Ooh. Spooky. [/sarcasm]

It’s always good to change it up a little. Especially when you’ll be seeing screens like this so often :)
Actually though, it says “SPACE=Continue” at the bottom, whereas the BSOD was usually fatal, right?

I guess you’re right Anthony, it might allow you to try to continue, but since it says that the boot manager had a problem, I don’t know how much further ‘continue’ might bring you.
I’m starting to wonder if the different color alerts are like the Terror Alert System. Like green is only a slight error, blue, yellow and orange are moderate errors and red is a really bad error like your computer is going to explode.
I’m glad Linux is free of any ‘SODs’. A kernel panic is still white text on a black background, the last time I saw one. :)
