Yesterday on Slashdot, I was reading about the Linksys NSLU2. People have figured out that this device runs Linux on an ARM processor and now can install custom applications on it, since they were able to get a login shell. You are now able to implement your own services and programs on this storage device. For under $80 (and free shipping from Amazon!) it seems like a fun toy to play with. I wonder what running a full-featured web server such as Apache would be like. Maybe this site will run on one of these small, quiet boxes in the future…
