So I have the Linksys BEFW11S4 – Wireless-B Broadband Router, and it had firmware version 1.52.02, which is the latest. Over the last 6 months or so, streaming the 30 seconds previews of music from Amazon, and viewing videos from some sites such as YouTube caused the router to completely lock. The only way to re-establish an Internet connection was to pull out the power, wait a few seconds, and plug the power back in.
This morning, I downgraded the firmware to version 1.50.14. All the problems are gone now.
So if you have the same router with the same problems, downgrade today!
Do you have a running copy of Windows that will not work with Microsoft’s Windows Update site, and you want to have your machine up to date with bug fixes and security patches? Try AutoPatcher. AutoPatcher lets you download everything that is found on the Windows Update site in a single setup executable. Simply download the file, check the options that you would like to install and let it run. Note that the file is over 200 MB and may take a long time to download, depending on your Internet connection. Also note that installation takes a long time, so run it when you are going to walk away from your computer for a while. If you want to jump straight to the AutoPatcher download, click here.
OK, I’ve never actually watched this show, but this YouTube clip is great:
I’ll break down the pattern, even though you’ll see for yourself:
1. Partner (I am assuming) lofts a softball setup line
2. Caruso says his cheesy one-liner (often while putting on dark shades half way through)
3. Caruso runs out of the shot (50%+ of the time)
4. Roger Daltrey scream from “Won’t get fooled again” closes out the episode
Tell me if I am wrong, need corrections, or if you’d just like to comment.
