The last available Lighttpd for Windows build that I created using Cygwin was Lighttpd for Windows 1.4.17.
Updated September 29, 2009.

The WLMP Project has released lighttpd for windows version 1.4.16.
You can download it here

Reference: http://forum.lighttpd.net/topic/11705

Note: I have provided the windows port of lighttpd myself for the past 2 years, prior to this release. When I first starting compiling lighttpd for windows, there was not another freely downloadable public port. I provided it simply as a convenience and to give something back to the open source community.
Now that a bigger project exists to provide essentially the same thing that I was providing, I have decided to step aside and no longer build and release lighttpd for windows.

Source and binary RPMs are now available for lighttpd version 1.5.0-r1811 pre-release. All files are derived from the lighttpd-1.5.0-r1811.tar.gz sources here.

Note: These RPMs and source RPMs are here as a courtesy and should be used at your own risk!

Directories are organized:
KWEL4-bin: RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 / CentOS 4 Binaries
KWEL4-src: RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 / CentOS 4 Sources
KWEL5-bin: RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 / CentOS 5 Binaries
KWEL5-src: RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 / CentOS 5 Sources

Any feedback or comments are welcome.

Updated September 29, 2009.

Lighttpd 1.4.15 for Windows is now available for download in the normal place.

If upgrading, backup your current install first to be on the safe side.

Note:
The new mod_extforward has been removed, since it won’t compile in Cygwin.
For a list of all the changes, please read the included README.txt which is shown within the installer, especially the changelog section.

Due to an inquiry on the lighttpd forum, I am documenting it here too, that my latest lighttpd RPMs and source RPMs are available here:
Binaries:

As of this writing, 1.4.12 and 1.4.13 RPMs are available at the above locations.

Rather than write up a whole post about how I like their new Control Panel, I’ll point you to Dreamhost’s announcement on their blog and to the Unofficial DreamHost Blog, who I tipped off!

This is an opportune time to again mention that Dreamhost has great web hosting, and have very inexpensive plans. They offer a 97-day money-back guarantee and if you use the promo code 40BUCKSOFF when you sign up, you’ll save $40!
